Our aim is to complement the work of the statutory services by giving time to individual clients to help with their particular needs.
Volunteers have training in confidentiality and listening skills. At all times they have the support of their project manager with whom
they work closely, as well as you, the service user. They understand that the professional in the statutory sector holds each of their
cases and must comply with certain standards.
Our volunteers can also provide a way of reintegrating the offender back into the community. They are all themselves part of their local
community and just by being there for the offender can help to engender self worth in their client. They have extra time to give and it
is this that the service user may well lack.
